At Annaharvey Farm we have developed "way marked" walks around the farm, but also we can now offer guided leisure walking at Lough Boora Parklands - an amazing conservation area with wonderful opportunities to see wildlife at it’s best and of course to study the interesting sculptures that various artists have created.Guided Hill Walking is also available in the Slieve Bloom Mts. an area of uplands, river, and bog which offers serious challenges for the more experienced walker.
Under John’s guidance you can a day or half day walking with him, enjoying the great outdoors at it’s best and you know you will be in safe hands.

Cycling ..
Guided cycling on the cycling trails at Lough Boora Bog can be arranged - an area rich in bird life - wild duck, geese, swans, partridge, and the most amazing colours across the bog land - winter or summer this is a real treat, along with the benefits of cycling along safe cycle paths.Mountain Biking is available in the Slieve Bloom Mts. - a challenging trip, but exhilirating and exciting - your guide will bring you on trails that will leave you breathless!

Our location in the midlands means we are in an ideal position to make it your base for your sight-seeing holiday. The immediate area around the midlands abounds with places of interest. No visitor to the area should leave without seeing the magnificent ruins of Clonmacnoise, an ancient monastic settlement on the banks of the River Shannon. Birr Castle, with its world famous gardens and telescope is only a half hour drive from Annaharvey. There are many other places of interest including An Dun Transport and Heritage Museum. The Irish National Stud in Kildare and for a day at the races - Kilbeggan Racecourse hosts six meetings over the summer months. It’s all here - and available to you, when you stay at Annaharvey Farm.
