Meat Balls in Spicy Tomato Sauce.

This is a firm favourite with the family, as it is quick and easy to make but real comfort food, just what is needed after a busy day working outside!

1 lb minced beef or lamb
Seasoning
Pesto
Mustard
2 eggs
Flour

Place all the ingredients apart from the flour in a bowl and mix together. Add the beaten egg slowly till the mixture holds together, then make into small balls – fry these on the pan till nicely brown and then place in a casserole dish.

Make the tomato sauce from a tin of chopped tomatoes, fried red onion and mushroom, mixed herbs, garlic, Tabasco, Worcestershire Sauce, brown sugar, seasoning, cayenne pepper and a little curry powder.

Mix all together and pour over the meat balls and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

Serve with spaghetti, pasta or mashed potatoes.
