Annaharvey Farm - About us.

Annaharvey Farm and Equestrian Centre is a family business run by the Deverells. Henry is the third generation Deverell in Annaharvey and together with his wife Lynda they have built a thriving business, not only for themselves and their extended family, but also as a source of employment for the local community.
Annaharvey Farm on 350 acres is situated just 4 miles from Tullamore. It was once a mixed farm, but is now primarily an equestrian centre with residential accommodation. Farming activity includes tillage such as wheat and barley and renewable energy crops.

Henry Deverell - Managing Director
Henry is the Managing Director of Annaharvey Farm. He has owned Annaharvey since 1969 when he inherited the farm from his father. Henry looks after the agricultural aspects of the farm and is very knowledgeable in crop production. When not looking after the crops or overseeing the business, he can be spotted zooming around the country on his Honda Goldwing.

Lynda Deverell - Director - Guesthouse Manager
Lynda, a native of Clara, has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Psychology and Geography) from Trinity College Dublin. She married Henry in 1975 and together they have built Annaharvey Farm into the centre it is today. Lynda looks after the guesthouse business and is an expert cook. If you want to find who is in charge or the person who knows everything, Lynda is the one.

Sam Deverell - Director - Equestrian Manager
Sam began riding as a child and worked his way up the ranks from ponies to horses. His first serious competition horse was called Savannah with whom he was placed second in the Young Rider International Show jumping competition at Millstreet. Savannah was then sold to Dubai. Sam later turned to eventing with a home-bred mare called Akalina. Sam progressed to 2-star international level with Akalina and completed Punchestown International Three-Day Event finishing on her dressage score. Sam currently competes another home-bred called Tabazimbi (known as Wilma to her friends) at 2-star level and has another home-bred (this time a gelding!) called Narok waiting in the wings for his turn to event. Sam is a SJAI course builder and judge and also a cross-country course designer and course-builder having built the course here at Annaharvey to CNC*** standard.

Aisling Deverell - BS Eq., BHSII
Aisling has had a love for horses all her life since she had a pony ride on Killkee beach at a young age. She has a First Class Honours Degree in Equine Science from Limerick University and is a qualified Intermediate Instructor for the British Horse Society. Aisling has competed up to 3 start level in eventing nationally and has competed in Punchestown, Necarne, Aldon(UK) and Tattersalls International events.

Rory Deverell - BSc. Ag.
Rory having left Kilkenny College went on to do a Degree in Agricultural Science in UCD. He is currently doing a PhD in Bio-Fuel technology. Rory looks after the crops and is an avid rugby player for Tullamore Rugby Club.

Jenna Killen - Riding School Coordinator
Jenna is from Derry and came originally to Annaharvey to study for her BHS exams. She is now a BHSAI instructor and is now our riding school coordinator.
